The client

Sense Asia runs supply chain operations. Synchronizing order fulfillment meant reading exports from the ERP and legacy systems by hand, about ten hours of planning work every day.

The problem

Everything a fulfillment plan depends on sits in separate places: ERP and legacy system exports, the orders themselves, inventory, purchase orders and production schedules. Pulling them together by hand consumed the planning day, and orders heading for a missed date were not flagged before the date slipped.

What we built

An order fulfillment synchronization agent. It reads ERP and legacy exports, orders, inventory, purchase orders and schedules, synchronizes them into one fulfillment plan, and flags the orders at risk of missing their dates. The planner approves the plan. The agent proposes it and does not release it alone.

Outcome

About ten hours a day of manual planning came off the desk. Orders at risk surface before their dates slip, and a planner still signs the plan that goes out.
